Sorry Registration is now closed for the Building your Horses Confidence
This FREE video course shows Steve Halfpenny from Light Hands Equitation work with Lakota, one of his horses that can become really troubled if he is exposed to new things or moved away from his paddock mates. Steve starts on the ground to build a connection before moving on to riding and continuing to build the connection and confidence first in his comfort zone, then the arena, and finally out on the trail. We finish up taking Lakota over to our mountain trail course were we use the obstacles to help him think about where he is placing his feet and as a result shifting his mind back to a more calm thinking state.

Steve Halfpenny is developing Light Hands Equitation with a mission to help as many people as possible around the world achieve extraordinary results with their horse.
“True Unity” is the term used by Tom Dorrance to describe the connection that is possible between man and horse. This is an amazing feeling that is well worth the effort to attain. Steve aspires to always work towards this himself and to help others that have similar goals.
Light Hands Equitation courses and education program are aimed at teaching people the principles of good horsemanship by developing Feel, Timing and Balance. Without an understanding of these principles “True Unity” is not possible. Steve’s training method delivers this training in steps that are easy for you and your horse to understand, ensuring that you and your equine partner grow together to enjoy this wonderful harmony.
